Not sure what a treatment involves? These illustrations show what each option looks like and how it fits in your mouth.
Full dentures
Replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Made to fit your gums comfortably and restore a full smile.
Partial dentures
Fill the gaps where some teeth are missing. A thin frame holds them to your natural teeth, and they come out for cleaning.
Single dental implant
A titanium post in the jawbone with a crown on top. Fixed, permanent and natural-looking.
Implant-supported denture
A denture that clips onto implants, so it stays firmly in place while you eat and talk.
Dental crown
A tooth-coloured cap that covers and protects a weak, cracked or heavily filled tooth.
Dental bridge
Replaces a missing tooth by joining a replacement tooth to crowns on the teeth on either side.
Root canal treatment
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed to save it, and it is usually finished with a crown.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
Full dentures replace all the teeth in a jaw. Partial dentures fill the gaps between your remaining natural teeth.
Can dentures be made more secure?
Yes. Implant-supported dentures clip onto dental implants, so they do not move or slip.
What is the difference between a crown and an implant?
A crown covers a tooth you still have. An implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium root and a crown on top.
